July 2018 FlowerSeeds.VIP Release

FlowerSeeds! Happy InterDependence Day! I am so inspired to release this month’s live release with a brand new recording from my June 19th 2018 performance at the legendary Oregon Shakespeare Festival Green Show!

This was my 10th show and 7th season playing on this stage. It was nothing short of EPIC!

To celebrate the new National Holiday Juneteenth, which represents the abolition of slavery in Texas, I themed my set to this by incorporating my first-ever live sample to open the set using Martin Luther King, Jr.’s quote from his "Remaining Awake Through a Great Revolution" Sermon for the opening of “Monks on Main Street”.

I followed ‘Monks’ by playing the song “Receive” for the first-time at the Green Show in 6 years. I then dropped the crowd-favorite “Shuffle Shake” that got everyone on their feet dancing. To conclude the set and round out the Juneteenth theme, I covered Nina Simone’s classic hit “Feeling Good” written by Leslie Bricusse & Anthony Newley.
